REPORT
I am appealing to you to accept my report.
On 25 October 2000, around 10.00 a.m. my son Khamidov Aslanbek Ilj'asovich, born, 1965, was removed from his home during a so-called 'zachistka' or cleansing operation. Along with him 10 more people were taken away on the same day. 5 of them were released in the evening of the same day. After seven days 3 more of them were released and, after 9 days, a further individual was released. My son Khamidov Aslanbek Il'jasovich was left on his own.
On 25 October 2000 my son and the others were located in an area of federal armed troops in the village of Tsenteroi, Kurchaloevskij District. Thus far it is not known where my son is and for what reason he is being detained.
Khamidov Aslanbek Il'jasovich did not serve in the army in the SA branch, as he was not able to go to the front-line owing to his weak health conditions.
Since he did not take part in any military groupings, he did not have access to any arms. This can be confirmed by any person living in the village of Alleroj.
On 21 September 2000 his health deteriorated after the cattle farm that was next to our house was completely destroyed. After this event, he was in the Kurchaloeveskij District hospital for a prolonged period of time. All this information can be verified.
I appeal to you to check who was in command of the cleansing oepration in the village of Alleroi, Kurchaloevskij District on 25 October 2000, where my son is and why he was detained.
Yours sincerely, mother and wife of the missing Khamidov Aslanbek Il'jasovich, born 1965.
With kind regards,
22.01.2001 Mother Khamidova Jakhita
Wife Turlueva Malika Uslamovna
