Borin, Alexander Arkadievich
Aircraft designer, amateur painter
Born 1913, Kiev (Ukraine); died 1987, Moscow. From the early 1930s his work was connected with Russian aircraft building. In 1941 was persecuted by the Military Tribunal of the Saratov Region NKVD Army Forces and on 22 October of the same year was given ten years in camp and disenfranchisement for five more. He served in camps near Saratov, in the vicinity of Atkarsk (1941-1946); was a special-assignment prisoner in Moscow (1946) and Taganrog (1946-1951). On 1 August 1951 was released and sent to Djezkazgan (Karaganda region). In 1956 was reinstated. Settled in Moscow.
