Отсутствие в общественном сознании концепции будущего, замещенной идеализированным образом имперского прошлого страны, негативно сказывается на всех сферах социальной активности и способствует стагнации общественной жизни современной России. Однако подобная радикальная трансформация «темпорального режима культуры» (термин историка памяти и мемориальной культуры Алейды Ассман) характерна и для современного западного мира.

Что представляет собой темпоральный режим модерности? Как происходит реинтерпретация прошлого в различных национальных культурах и к каким результатам она приводит? Можно ли восстановить подорванное доверие к будущему, установив новую взаимосвязь между ним, настоящим и прошлым? Этим вопросам и сопряженным с ними проблемам истории, человека и мира посвящены юбилейные XXV Банные чтения.


 

Программа первого дня конференции

31 марта (пятница)

12:00 – 14:30 Утреннее заседание: Воспоминание о будущем

  • Открытие конференции. Вступительное слово Ирины Прохоровой («Новое литературное обозрение»).
  • Приглашенный спикер: Алейда Ассман (Констанцский университет, Германия). Кризис будущего и переизобретение прошлого.
  • Дискуссия с участием Ханса Ульриха Гумбрехта, Михаила Ямпольского, Ильи Калинина.

 

15:30 – 18:30 Дневное заседание: Современность и темпоральное воображение

  • Михаил Ямпольский (Нью-Йоркский университет, США). Современность и кризис истории.
  • Ханс Ульрих Гумбрехт (Стэнфордский университет, США). Не просто конец «исторического времени»: новое описание постмодерна.
  • Кевин Платт (Пенсильванский университет, США). Упереться в стену: перезапуск истории в эпоху Трампа, Путина и др.
