The Support Group for Freeing Alexei Navalny and Other Political Prisoners in the Russian Federation, part of the Parliament of Estonia (here are the members of the group) has nominated ‘Memorial’ as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, a source in the Estonian Parliament reports. It was decided not to specify which legal entity to nominate in particular: «In the eyes of the international community, ‘Memorial’ founded by A. D. Sakharov is a single entity, and the International Memorial and the Human Rights Center are its parts.»
